The Junior Year Drop-Off
Note: It's 10:30 AM, Saturday
Son ~ 5 :/ ............... Mom ~ 9 :)
Really, what's the hurry?
The first off-campus apartment ~
Quite a bit different from last year's resort.
Son ~ 8 :) ............... Mom ~ 1 =:0
Room Mates ~
I choose to believe.
Son ~ 10 :) ............... Mom ~ 10 :)
The Apartment
Location. Location. Location.
On the corner of two very busy streets.
Across the street from train tracks.
With a chirping cross walk.
With constant pedestrian traffic.
Constant. Pedestrian. Traffic.
Son ~ 10 :) ............... Mom ~ 2 :(
One reason for the traffic ~
And if they're not, I've been told "they should be."
Parting Words ~
From Mom and Dad ~
"Plan ahead"
"Stay on top of things"
"Get enough sleep"
"Eat well"
"Take your vitamins"
"We love you"
From son ~
"Thank you for everything"
"Love you"
"Okay, okay, okay"
"Bye"
Have a wonderful junior year. See you for Thanksgiving! :)

So cute! I can look at your son and tell that is one good kid. This reminds me of a Mastercard commercial....was just waiting at the end,
"knowing he will be home for Thanksgiving"....priceless.
Loved this!
You are just too cute. Awesome post. Hope he's doing great. xoxo
Love it....
You have a good boy and I think with all that apartment noise the library will be home away from home. Or he will be staring out the window at the co-eds...nay library!!!
Hope he has a wonderful junior year!
What a twinkle in his eye:).
So funny, so true. Big moved into an off-campus this year with three roommates, at least two of whom are known to study! Honestly, tho, I have never seen so many beautiful girls walking around in shorts. I predict the boys' study habits will improve as the weather cools off!
Great post! Very entertaining and soo true...Pinkim
He is really cute. Is he going to school in California?
Thanks for your comment. I'm doing much better. Lots of Anbesol and gargling.
